Rose Dryfruit Ball
About Rose Dryfruit Ball
Rose has been perfuming this part of the country for centuries. Kannauj, a few hours upriver from us, has been distilling attar from desi gulab since Mughal times, and no Banarasi paan is complete without a spoon of gulkand — rose petals crushed with sugar and left to soften in the sun. That is the flavour memory this sweet reaches for: not the sharp rose of a bottled essence, but the slow, jam-like sweetness of petals that have been sitting quietly in a jar. We wrapped it around dry fruit rather than khoya, so what you get is fragrance and chew rather than richness — the piece that cuts through a heavy festive box. It has become a favourite with customers who want to send something generous to a house where somebody is watching their sugar.
Customer Reviews
Tastes exactly like the peda we used to get in Varanasi as kids. Not overly sweet, and the texture is spot on. Ordered a second box within the week.
Ordered for a family function, arrived well packed and fresh. Everyone asked where I got it from. Will reorder for Diwali.
Good taste, slightly sweeter than I expected but still very good quality. Delivery was quick, within 3 days.
